IBIZA

Ibiza… My favorite trip of the year, where I get to kick off the summer and celebrate my birthday.

Our flight landed very late at night on Friday, so we barely had time to drop off our luggage at our Airbnb before it was time to head out to Amnesia, of course, for Music On. My all-time favorite DJs and friends Apollonia were on the lineup – these guys never fail to impress me! We danced till dawn and that was still not enough.
On Saturday morning we drove to Sunset Ashram for a day by the beach, although we honestly spent every day at the beach, which was much needed considering we live in London. Sunset Ashram is one of the most popular destinations in Ibiza and is ideal for watching the sunset and enjoying some good food. The car ride to Sunset Ashram is half of the fun since you drive through tiny towns and greenery.

A white-washed villa with a pool that sleeps 6, our Airbnb was beyond beautiful as well as being ideally located in the Ibiza Port. My best friend and I have been celebrating our birthdays together for the past 10 years, so Saturday night was dedicated to a dinner in our honour in the old town of Ibiza. La Tana is a gem of a restaurant that serves delectable Italian cuisine, with a spectacular view of the Ibiza Fort if you sit outside on the cobble stone street. One night of rest & relaxation was definitely needed if we were to keep our energy up for Ibiza’s legendary parties.

Sunday was spent in Formentera. Well, what can I say? Mind = blown. Anyone who’s already been to this paradisiac island knows exactly what I’m talking about and anyone who hasn’t yet been, this one should be on your bucket list without a doubt. White sandy beaches, crystal clear water, a horizon peppered with yachts, not a cloud in the sky… Formentera is a must-visit, and it’s just a 30-minute ferry ride from Ibiza Port.Once we arrived to the island, we rented Vespas to explore the island. I recommend you go to Juan y Andrea to forget about your worries for the day and enjoy the most sumptuous paella.
Another popular seafood restaurant is Beso Beach. Make sure you watch the sunset with a sangria in hand to end the day in style… before it’s time to party again, of course!

Sunday nights are usually reserved for Solomun at Pacha, but this summer Bedouin have taken over Heart every Sunday. Bedouin are extremely close to my heart and I just couldn’t miss their Saga party – I’m still not over that epic night, to be entirely honest! After a few hours of sleep, we headed to The Jockey Club for some more sun, sea and sand. We gathered our energy for the night ahead and final party of the trip: Circoloco at DC-10.
DC-10 is my favorite club in Ibiza because it’s an open-air venue located right next to the airport. With parties starting at 4 in the afternoon and finishing at around 6am, dance the night away while planes land and take off right over your head - So cool! We went at 7pm just in time to hear my dear friend and one member of Apollonia, Dan Ghenacia, kick off the night and set the mood for Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers. What an awesome night!

Tuesday was our last day, and we headed to the town center with a few hours to kill before our flight back home. What would an all-girls trip be without some shopping! We left Ibiza with heavy hearts, but utterly convinced that we would be back again soon, very soon…
Until next time, Ibiza!

Xx
